He began writing in November 2020, initially crafting stories for his children before deciding to publish them more widely. His debut published work was A Collection of Short Stories or Tales in 2021, followed by Creepy And Scary Tales: A Collection of Short Stories later that year, which further established his voice in the genre.
Shupp writes across genres but has a strong focus on horror, drawing inspiration from his own childhood experiences watching horror movies and from personal memories. In interviews, he’s shared that his favorite stories often come from “writing what he knows,” weaving elements from his life and imagination into his work.
